The Sacred Feeding of Elephants at Vadakkunnathan Temple, Thrissur
Born and raised in Thrissur, Kerala, Deepak Ravindran grew up witnessing the rich cultural traditions of his hometown, including the magnificent Aanayoottu festival at Vadakkunnathan temple. His childhood memories of watching elephants being lovingly fed by the community instilled in him a deep respect for nature and the importance of caring for all living beings.
From his early days observing his grandfather's kirana store in Thrissur to building technology companies like SMSGyan (Innoz), Quest, and Lookup, Deepak's entrepreneurial journey has always been guided by the values of his Kerala roots - community care, sustainability, and giving back to nature.
"Thrissur taught me that true prosperity comes from feeding others - whether it's elephants, families, or communities. KFarms is my way of bringing that Thrissur spirit to the world."
Aanayoottu is a beautiful festival held in the precincts of the Vadakkunnathan temple in the City of Thrissur, where elephants are lovingly fed by devotees and visitors.
This ancient tradition celebrates the bond between humans and elephants, symbolizing respect for nature and the importance of caring for all living beings.
KFarms is committed to giving back to nature. A portion of our profits goes directly to supporting elephant feeding programs and wildlife conservation efforts, ensuring these majestic creatures continue to be cared for by future generations.
"When you choose KFarms, you're not just feeding your family - you're helping feed elephants too."
Just as Aanayoottu represents feeding and caring for elephants, KFarms represents feeding and caring for families with real, sustainable food. Both traditions stem from the same Thrissur values that shaped our founder's vision.
